FAQs
Q: How far is the trip? Do I have to have superperson strength to ride?
A:The distance between the two farms is between 25-30 miles, we will be following the Connecticut River north so the route is relatively flat with an uphill journy as we arrive in Gill. a quote from our bike mechanic and safey guide is "if you can ride ten miles with no problem then you should be able to make it."
Q: What if I ride all the time and want to get there sooner will I have to wait for everyone?
A: No, we will give out maps and turning points, if you want to ride ahead that is fine. You can ride as fast or as slow as you want. One of the guides will bring up the rear so that no one is left behind.
Q: Do I need my own touring bicycle?
A: There will be a few bikes for people to rent, but it would be great if you had your own or borrowed one. Its also good to get it tuned up before the ride. There is a bike lab in Northampton that helps people fix up their bikes contact me for more information.
Q: What do I pack?
A: Remember everything that you pack you, or someone else will have to haul-

sleeping bag
sleeping pad
tent (we will coordinate these)
flashlight
cup, bowl, utensils
Biking items
